Should my oil filter have a check valve? The parts supplier said the 1980 1500 filter does not have one. The filter will empty when parked. Is there a way to fix this issue of zero pressure on start up? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF

Depending on the oil filter brand, good ones have two check valves. That what I was told by FRAM tech. adviser.
