British Parts NW, and Ultrarev normally have the best Fidanza flywheel prices, because they buy them in volume production runs. Ultrarev, does list on Ebay (thats who is selling the above linked unit), but you can call them if you have questions and get the same price. If I'm not mistaken their website is www.ultrarev.com. , BPNW is also a great bunch to deal with, and has so many good quailty parts at good prices for our cars. Greg and Leyton are knowledgable folks. I've used Fidanza flywheels for years for both street and race purposes. Oh and no need to balance a Fidanza unit, I checked several on the balancer to find them perfectly balanced.

I agree with Hap about BPNW and the balancing. I posted that fact on my engine rebuilding page. The Fidanza flywheel was perfectly balanced as it was received.

I'd stay away from the main eBay seller - sells them and the orders so you don't know when delivery will really happen...

The Ultra Rev price is what I paid for mine two years ago on sale. That's a good number.

If you are tlaking about Ultrarev, they are the largest volume buyers of Fidanza flywheels in the world, I was Fidanza direct dealer for years, even helped them design a couple of Spridget flywheels, but when folks like Utlrarev and BPNW came along buying bigger volume, they sort of knocked me out of the saddle, I probably sold a couple hundred of them back 5-6 years ago. Fidanza is who referred me to Ultrrev to get a better dealer pricing than they could give to me. Just call them direct, screw Ebay.

Hap, little confused on this MGB. Where's the 4th exhaust?

You won't be disappointed. Nor will Bob when he see the parts, especially the rods.

Hap,

My TR6 has around 23K miles. Can I replace the factory flywheel with an aluminum flywheel without doing anything else to the engine? Any problems with balance? Any other problems?

Also are the benefits of an aluminum flywheel noticable for regular driving?

Thanks,
BOBH

Yes;
No:(check on the clutch and reassure yourself of it's condition.(crossshaft, lube, front seal dry, etc...)
Yes.

my flywheel should be in on Friday. funny I asked if they had a pressure plate that fit it and the repsonse was not in stock, no part number either, but I did just order a Sachs kit from BPNW, will get the cross shaft, bushings and associated parts soon, probably going with bushings with graphite plugs, and add grease fittings too, gone this far might as well do it All heck might send the tranny off and get an OD too I think it qualifies for the stimulis package and I can get 10 cents back on my taxes and if I drop the engine on my leg I get free health care to fix it too
