Hi guys.

I was looking though some of the kit cars for sale on ebay and came across this auction:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-Repl...=item27ad4fc43c

I have no interest in or knowledge of this body. I do know that if I happened to have an MGA frame I'd be very interested in this. I saw a finished one once, and it was very attractive. And now the old Fiber Fab kits have some collector value and historic credibility. The front engine kits were quite rare.

Anyway, fwiw.

That does look very interesting- shame that it's an ocean and whole continent away.

Gull-wing doors, even.

Not quite so far for me, but still too far to buy it on speculation of getting an MGA that has a great frame but a bad body (that sounds like a one in a million shot to me). These were very attractive when finished. I remeber seeing one for sale up in New Hampshire when I was a teenager. I had a hard time getting it out of my mind.

Fewer of these kist made than the Jamaicans.

The doors were a mixed blessing - neat idea but quirky to use and difficult to implement properly - just as any Bricklin owner. These cars had little air access and were torture on a hot day, and the doors were too narrow for easy access. They did look neat though, just not as usable as the Jamaicans (and I don't say that because I own one).

This may or may not have been made with inner details to suit the MGA. If it was an unfinished kit, there would be quite a bit of fabrication to mount it on any particular chassis.

I've got the MGA frames but it was too far away for me to be interested in it....wonder if it sold?
