FERRIARI FUN!

Real cool. If you've never been to an all Ferrari race, I would suggest you find when one is coming to a track near you, such as the Ferrari Challenge. Listening to the old Ferraris...Daytonas, GTOs, and pre-war cars...fly by at upwards of 100mph, and come out of the turns and get on the loud pedal...it's simply staggering. I got to go up in the tower above the main straight at VIR and listened to the a racing Daytona go by and it literally gave me goosebumps, and made the deck shake.

I wish it said "coming to a city near you".

So who can name all those cities the cars raced through? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif

Well, without watching it again... I saw Rome, New York, Hong Kong, Monaco, what looked like a section of the PCH... and that's all I recall for now.

First clip has to be the road outside Maranello. Also saw Rio de Janeiro in there.

Wasn't the road I took into Maranello. But it still could be. Wonder if its the road that Pavarotti's house is on? Didn't quite get to that part of town. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I missed Rio though. Anything else?

I road the bus in (and back out) from Modena. So there were plenty of other that I didn't see. The road that I was on comes in over a railroad overpass and gives you a spectacular view of Fiorano. It also drops you off right in front of the Ferrari Factory front gates and the original Ferrari Store. You have to walk a couple of blocks to get to the Galleria (Museum) or to be able to peek out at Fiorano from ground level. The town square (piazza) has a very large TV in it so townsfolk can gather and watch the F1 races. Its a VERY Ferrari town. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Seemed quite heavenly to me actually. But then again, I'm a huge Ferrari fan. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

An absolute work of art!!! Both the cars and the video. I attend any vintage race I can get to and always make it a point to be in the paddock just before the F1 races when the Ferarri's fire up. I can't hear anything for a week after that, but I don't care.
