Federal Drone Registry Illegal

I'm about to purchase a DJI Mavic. A friend has one and it's amazing. You can take your hands off the controls and it just stays there. It has full GPS capabilities (returning to home or flying a particular course) and it's amazingly small (by folding up to a very manageable size). It's certainly better than the toys I've been playing with.

Hey Boink
I have a friend that has a few drones one being the Mavic has a couple racing drones and a water proof one also Mavic is really nice drone
he films amazing shots in the Caribbean and now his son is doing most of it.
check it out ! https://youtu.be/3fGM1mHjaks
he has a lot of videos on you tube.
met him a few years ago in st Martin
had his boat hauled met him at budget marine we were both shopping for some plastic fittings.
ended up spending most of the day at Pineapple Petes!

My friend brought his to Italy a few weeks ago... and I flew it out over lake Como. Still, I'd want to be much more confident for a longer flight.
The video from these things is AMAZING (including the early part of the one you posted). Very smooth.

All my previous stuff was jerky and nearly all resulted in crashes... but then they were, essentially, toys. Unfortunately, one has to step up from about $50 to $1000 to get the good stuff.
