So they mentioned on the radio a little while ago, guess what happened 59 years ago to in NYC. If you're aware, "you know you will be glad"....

Ding! Ding! Ding! Yes indeed, landed in NYC today in 64. Who would have thought someone born on that day would now be old enough to have an AARP card, and for a few years already...
 
Wow - I remember seeing the arrival on the evening news on TV (my kerosene powered TV ...)

I remember when they first came over and also when they did a concert in Shea Stadium in 1966.
 
When we were watching them on Ed Sullivan, I think my dad said "they need a haircut".

He said the same about me a few years later :lol2:

(Just happened to think - imagine how many billions of people today have no idea who Ed Sullivan was, and how his "Tonight we have a really big show" helped shaped America.)
