Clarkson in the Atom.
Giggling like a schoolgirl while his face flapped in the wind.

I like the Coupes that are not a porsche for under $1500. And the supercars for under $10,000 challenges.

I also like just about any of the crazy races with a car agianst just about anything else.

If you read the FAQ's and can figure it out on your own... and have broadband... You can get every new episode the monday after it airs here...

Mine too... "I am an animal!!"

Top Gear did a segment on the TR 8, any one have an ida where I could find it? I have googled it and come up with hundreds of segemnts but not this one. Thanks

one of the more fun ones I like is the one where they raced a 130HP Bugeye Sprite against some 200+HP Peugeot "Hot Hatch" up the "famous" Prescott Hillclimb course. Stig drove both cars up the hill, and the Bugeye won... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOIupobZmVo )

Let's see... then there's the "old race cars" (primarily rally cars) vs modern cars (the part where they raced a Ford Escort Cosworth against a new Ford Focus was great)... and the old sports cars vs new sports cars.

Then there's the Lotus Exige S vs the Ford Mustang GT... this one is probably my most favorite clip.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGx1Au8Rh9c )

The Veyron vs the airplane was good fun as well. This one ran a full episode, if I'm not mistaken.

I remember one with a bit on a tr-6 too... But I can't find it now. I have recordings of all of the last 3 seasons too, I guess I need to rewatch them all, and catalog what's in each of them. (or is there an online index?) I need to get the first 4 seasons... I've also watched some of the 90's ones before Tiff and Jeremy had a ego battle, and Tiff went on to do Fifth Gear, and BBC dropped Top gear for a couple years. Those are pretty good shows too.

On the TR6 episode I think James was driving it around with the top down, as he should, on a typical (light drizzle)British day.

If you sign up for the forums on https://www.finalgear.com, there are some episode guides which you can search. Hypothetically, you can get all the episodes of the current show. I wouldn't know, of course, but gathering the entire set is possible, and might even be quite enjoyable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Series 8 (most recent series) is also available to view on the BBC site now legally:

Why can't they have interesting car shows like this or Fifth Gear over here? They cover more of the driving experience and "what-ifs", than the bland US ones which are just like a new car advertisement every week.

My other beefs are with the resto shows which rarely show you anything practical and the collector car shows which cover "trailer queen" cars that only Jay Leno can afford.

OK, its very hot here in PA, hence the rant. I think I feel better now.

it's because we have what they don't have... We have OPMA (Over Protective Mothers of America) standing in the way telling everyone that if shows like that air over here then our kids will be driving crazy because of shows like it and video games. Mean while, movies that depict decapitation and maming now get a PG-13 rating...

erm... sorry... i think i went a bit off the deep end there.

That's my fav!

I'm dieing to see that TR6 clip now.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I was watching one of season 8's episodes the other night (the one where they hi-jacked a radio station, and kept calling a Cadillac glorified Saab) and in one of the traffic report scenes a saw the front right of a CB MGB peak out from behind some car. Nothing major, but still fun to see them out and about in the modern world... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The TR6 episode is Series 2 #5, June 8, 2003. There's a a couple of indexes available online the detail what's in each show. That's a good bit--might just pop off and watch it before I go to bed.

Sorry to say that there are lots of people in the UK that think Clarkston etc are Irresponsible and somehow force people to go out and drive like loonies

I have to admit, back in the early 90's he did a bit on the Renault 5 GT Turbo. Because of him I bought one, and drove like a looney. I wasn't forced however, back then I was quite capable of being irresponsible without any help.
