Favorite Sandwich of all time!

Kind of a spin-off of the now familare "what’s for dinner" threads.

But my personal favorite sandwich has to be thinly sliced *hot* Pastrami with a couple slices of swish cheese piled high on a toasted Jewish Dark Rye. With a nice whole pickle and a cold beer.

I’m in heaven – so what’s yours?

slice of bread-~thick layer of peanut butter-slice of bread

the second slice is optional /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

My four year old likes those too.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

My all-time favorite is the old standard, Peanutbutter and Grape Jelly (on toasted white bread with butter).

#2 is a really well-made Reuben (hard to find a really good one!)

Thin sliced deli ham, muenster cheese, ice berg lettuce, and Duke's sandwich relish on a soft roll. Add sweet Mt. Olive bread and butter pickles on the side. It's a southern (USA) thing.

Lately it's been a 12" muffalatta from Papa Joe's deli... but there are sooo many choices.

A real "Philly" Philly steak 'n Cheese.

*Anything* from Promani Bro's in dahntahn Pittsburgh.

Hot, pressed Cuban from the 'hood in Miami.

"Frizzleburger" from Isley's in Sewickley.

...now my gut is growlin' and it's only 0700 local. Looks like Papa Joe's fer lunch!!

Add the horseradish mustard and it's mine too!!

This is my favorite also. Except I like it best on a Kaiser roll. Nothing beats pastrami and swiss. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Chicken salad, banana peppers, sharp cheddar and onion on sweet bread.

Still highly partial to a 'proper' bacon sandwich with brown sauce, if I can get it.

gawd... I'm droolin' onna keys readin' this stuff.

Club sandwich on toasted white with lemonade. When I'm feeling really daring I have it with tea. Yup.

Me wife makes pepper steak {kinda like a Philly But wayyyyyyyyyy better} w/green chilis, onion, green bell pepper, and swiss cheese on a sour dough bun.
Kick Arse good.

Gotta pipe in... Cuban Sandwich. MMM GOOD!

cheesesteak without question.
with that in mind it's almost time to order lunch and I'm starving...

Fried oyster on a Kaiser roll from Airway Cafe at KFDK.

A Cubano on crunchy crust bread, fresh baked
right out of the oven. Cafe con leche .

Corned beef (brisket) on a roll or on rye, as long as it's a leftover from a properly cooked New England boiled dinner (similar to corned beef & cabbage). No cheese etc - just light on the mustard.

Second choice is pork roast done on a spit over charcoal. This needs to be on a roll with just pepper.

In either case, heated in a steamer.

I hadn't thought about it, but what about a good old fashion hot dog? Yeah... I'll change my vote. A hot dog, but it has to be in a New England style roll. One more month and I'll be eating 'em. Yum!
