My favourite is either "very rare" or "the most desirable model" especially when they are used together to refer to a BN4..... Not that I have anything against BN4s but everyone on ebay seems to have a different view on them to most Healey enthusiasts!
"Will sell the other half of the pair in another listing" And then you never see the other listing or you don't win the other needed match to the pair.
How about "same as owned by ??". So what, I could say my toothbrush is the same type as the one used by some celebrity, doesn't make it worth any more...
If they can't spell it, if their attention to detail is so poor that they've never noted the correct spelling, if they're actually so ignorant about Healeys that they misspell it, I can't trust anything they say after that.
What bothers me is when the say "frame off" when what they mean is either "(from the) frame-up", or "body off". Not restricted to Ebay. Sort of in the same category of "I could care less" when "I couldn't care less" is what is meant. Makes me doubt their intelligence in general.
I share Reid's sentiment as well; how much does the seller know about Healy's ( ) if they can't spell it? Would you buy a Sheffey Kamaro from "this guy"?
I also love it when you are selling something and someone offers a low cash number and emphasizes "cash", as if I would also accept marbles, chickens, or bananas.
