Ok, I'm just trying out the Poll Function on the new software. So the question is, of the listed British Sit Coms, which is your favorite?

Basil, You missed one choice...NONE of the above! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

The Office, not on the list, I know ... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Flying circus all the way with Benny Hill a close 2nd for me.

No matter how old they get, I still love the old Benny Hill programs!

Should be able to vote on all numerically in order of preferrence (10 - 1), that makes it a little easier than just voting for one.

As you can tell from my user name, Monty Python's Flying Circus got my vote.

I don't know if it counts as a sit com but I always enjoyed UXB

This was a tough call. Monty Python is just classic, as is Benny Hill. And I actually really like Mr. Bean. But the writing in Fawlty Towers just puts me on the floor, doubled over in laughter every time.

I'm the only one that voted for Fr Ted!? C'mon!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Bets that Mr. Bean gets no votes?

If Father Ted wasn't there I would have voted for Mr Bean. Got all of both series on DVD too. Sick, eh? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I don't know if they ever played over here, but "Only Fools and Horses" and "Porridge".

Just to stir it up a bit, we also had some awful ones in the olde country, so I would be interested to see a poll for American comedy shows. Would well written shows like Seinfeld, Cheers and MASH win out over the more typical and predictable sappy ones with wisecracking kids?

of cours there is also The thin blue line,,Dad's army,,Steptoe and son,, oh oh now I am dating myself
