Has anyone changed their fan motors to one that pushes more air? I'm tired of the foggy window problem.

Also, I'm withdrawing as a contributing member and will just read for a while. I don't like the tone of some of the contributers. Tony, I'll PM you about parts I need for the 78 and the 73. See ya.

Mabe you just need a new fan - or you have leaks in the hoses going to the defrosters?
 
Bob M has a "how to" on installing a larger fan to the motor. But keep in mind that while a larger fan will blow more air, the air it blows will be less warm. Reason being that the air will have less time in contact with the heater.

Also make sure you aren't getting a film on the glass. This would indicate a leaky heater core which is a health hazard, and one cause of foggy windows. A sweet smell would indicate the same.

My GT stays fog-free most of the time but in a down pour there is no hope other than a terry cloth towel.

Another consideration is the felts on the diverter flap inside the box itself. They're glued in place and may have dropped off or shifted to a position where they don't allow a good seal to the demister vents.
 
I use rain-x on my driver for the outside and it sheds rain really well at speed. They also make a product to prevent fogging on the inside, that would seem well suited to this problem, (i.e. fogging up in a downpour), I've never used it though, has anyone else?
