TR2/3/3A Fan extension length for TR3?

I seem to have both short (4.02") and long (4.84") fan pulley extensions along with matching crank bolts. Catalogs that tell me that TR2 & 3 are different from TR4, but they don't mention which is which. Can anyone please identify which is correct for TR3A?
Thanks,
Andy

I am pretty sure the shorter is for the TR2-TR3B. I have one however, it measures only 3.5" not 4.02". I got it just in case I want to install a TR6 8-blade cooling fan on my TR4A. I have read the clearance is very tight with the stock TR4 fan extension and the solution is to use the TR2-TR3B extension.

When I measured this a couple of years ago I came up with the extension being about 3/4" shorter for the 3 than the 4. Not what you wanted exactly but I'd say the shorter is for the 3, longer is for the 4 or 4A.

Thank you Bob & Randy. I'll use the short one. The short one was the one on the engine, but someone had it apart at some point and the pulley timing hole was 60 degrees off. I'm not sure how they set the timing, but I've corrected the problem. The short one (4.02" overall) measures 3.5" from the front of the pulley to the back of the fan, and the long one is about 3/4" longer, so I think you're both in agreement.

IIRC this photo was supplied by Geo ... if it was someone else please let me know.

Thanks, Peter, I'll make a note of that.
