Last night at 9:50 pm, I was on the British car forum and watching the local weather guys as they went spastic over a set of storms that were passing through Central Arkansas. I learned a few important things last night.

1. NEVER say "Don't worry, tornados don't hit in this neighborhood"

2. When the sirens go off, duck!

3. They really do sound like freight trains!

4. Thank God my garage is on the front of my house!

5. Hey, maybe this means I won't have to pay for a new roof!

6. Dave, we might have to postpone the plans we were making last night...I'm not sure we will be back home....let's see!

7. At least hotels have wireless internet

8. Some people have really cool jobs with really big toys!

9. Next time my husband says,"Do you think we should have the kids move down to the basement?" I will listen.

10. All family and friends are safe and that's what really matters!

Check it out!

Terri;

I'm so glad you and your family are safe.
Houses can be repaired and plans delayed.
Keep in touch and let me know if there is anything you need.

Dave :grouphug:

Oooff.

I heard that info last eve... glad all are okay.

Yeah, those spinners make quite a racket.

Glad yer safe and sound.

Can you believe there are fools that drive
their cars close to tornados for a hobby?

regards,

dale

Glad you're safe and sound! Yikes! Last night I decided to relax after work and watch a movie. Guess what I watched ... Twister!

Glad you're safe Terri.
Looks like you had a pair of EF-2's (110mph - 135mph) pay a visit. 'Orrible little buggers.

Yikes and more yikes, Terri. Glad to hear you and yours are safe, even if your house has a few, erm, modifications.

Glad you are ok, Terri.

Looks like you'll get to do some remodelling though. My wife wonders why I want to cut down every tree within range of the house - I think I'll send her your slideshow to help convince her...

<edit> Uck - it's not gonna work. The house we sold had a 3' diameter tree fall on it 3 months after we sold it. Demolished a good chunk of one side, and that didn't sway her either.

Sorry to see all the damage. Thankfully all of you are well. Many beautiful trees lost. Hopefully the will yeild some nice furniture for someone. And Hopefully no damage to the LBC's?

No, LBC's tucked safely in the garage. The only damage is, it was sunny and 70's today and I didn't take Idgy for a drive. I hope he didn't see because sometimes he gets a little persnickity when I don't let him out on pretty days. While I waited on adjusters and tree removers we sat and watched the clean up crews, electric crews, and hoards of gawkers and spectators....look what drove by.

Glad to hear all are safe.

I have decided to blog this experience. SO far I have three entries under other interests and thoughts.
1 "What's that noise
2. Dawn
3. Day 1

I hope to add Saturday and today (especially today cause it was COOL!) I'm not sure when though cause I hope to be home tomorrow and that means not internet connections at night.
