Family Tragedy

My condolences to you and your family at this time... All the best and know that all our prayers go with you...

Basil, condolences from my family to yours. Paul

Just watched Lemony Snicket's. I liked the line "Losing a loved one is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is."

My heart goes out to you and yours.

Our prayers are with you and your family.

I had a heart attack in 2001 and lived. A balloon angioplasty, a stent and drug therapy have me back in the saddle indefinitely. I am 48 years old today. Do the math. It doesn't just happen to older people. Felt fine up until the moment it happened. All of you, men and women, regardless of age, should call your doctors and make an appointment for a check up if you haven't had one recently. Get that cholesterol checked and have a stress test; especially if you have vascular or cardiac issues in your family history. And think about what you're eating, drinking, and smoking. Some changes there will go a long way. Do it for the people who love you.

Get to Sis ASAP. Take care of her. Hateful news. You and yours will be in our thoughts.

My condolences to you and yours Basil.

basil, what to say? sorry to hear of this. we just 1 week ago had the 30 year old nephew of a dear friend collapse from a fatal heart attack while riding his bicycle home from work.

Basil, our sincerest sympathies to you and your sister. I don't know if you've left yet, but if you need a vehicle while in MD send me a PM or reply here. We are only a half hour or so from all three of our airports, and I'd be happy to lend you one.

Larry

Things like this sort of put life's little "issues" in perspective sometimes.

Indeed it does. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Wow. That's tough, Basil. I'm very sorry to hear the news.

I agree with everyone who commented on "perspective." We must keep it.

I'm sure your sister will be glad you're there for her.

Take care....

Adam
