Fall Drive & Murphy
Hello,
My wife came for a ride today, we put another 100 miles on my sprite. It is only the 2nd time she has been for a ride this year. I promised her it would not break down. Should have never said that, I was going around a corner on a very busy road and something fell out the bottom of my car. Pulled off the road as it stalled and rolled into a corner store parking lot. She just laughed at me. Under the hood I found my brand new PCV top came off. The diaphragm and spring were still there jut the clip and flat cover long gone. I looked but no luck finding the parts. So I walked into the corner store purchased some tinfoil, and wrapped it around the PCV. Good as new drove another 40 miles without any problems. I have driven this thing almost 3000 miles with not a hick up, I take my wife for a nice fall drive and Murphy strikes. The amazing part is how simple these cars are. I really do love of my LBC.
Anybody out there have a spare PVC they can ship to me, I can send you pay pal, just hate to buy another new one from Moss. All I really need is the cover and clip. I could make a cover but not sure about the clip. I often see them on eBay; guess I need a spare everything for my sprite.

sorry to here, glad for the temp solution though

next time I will keep mouth closed. I should have learned that by now.
Cheers Phil

You make PROMISES to your WIFE? About anything?

I long ago learned not to do that...

seems we're both happier... How odd is that?

Can someone have a look at there PVC, I am going to cut a top for it.I think the top cover has a small 1/8 hole in it.
thanks Phil
