Janet and I just got back from a 3-hour drive in the B (roadster, top down, of course) through Cades Cove, Tremont, Little River Road and a few side roads. Couple of the roads we wanted to explore were closed, due to the snow over the weekend, I guess. Gorgeous cloudless skies today with a high around 65. The B ran flawlessly and we had several thumbs-ups from folks. I'm gonna reward her with a quick wash before putting her back in the garage under cover (the B, not Janet). We had a late lunch at a local Mexican restaurant, and I'm stuffed!

Life is good!

Pictures? Didn't happen without pictures!:glee:

Yeah, I know. But we were more interested in enjoying the ride, so didn't bring the camera.

What a good day.:encouragement:

I love the Cade's Cove loop! Beautiful drive, almost tame deer, black bears, just gorgeous!

Good fer y'all!!! A small bit of envy, not worth consideration. And a BIG grin for ya both. That "retirement" thing seems to be gettin' easier.

Yeah, though we missed the peak for the colors - some yellow, but a lot of brown leaves. The deer definitely have an attitude when crossing the road.

Sounds like a great day was had by all, Mickey.

You are very fortunate Mickey, to live in a very beautiful place! Last time we were there was in 2006 during the MG 2006 event. We made a couple drives through Smokey Mtn National park and it was one of the most beautiful drives we ever made in the B. :encouragement: PJ

No doubt, Paul. Not as high or rugged as the Rockies, but the setting lends itself to some great drives. We are definitely home here.

We did learn one thing Mickey, on the way back from the other side of the mountain after getting lunch, we hit a quickie rain shower and I learned just how fast the top can be put up on a B! The inside never got wet, but we looked like a pair of drowned rats! No sooner we got drenched, it stopped! Laughed all the way back! :highly_amused: PJ
