Fairly Successful Saturday...

Great Pumpkin - R.I.P

Over the last few months, as tidbits of time allowed, I've slowly been prepping my '74-1/2 GT for use over the cooler winter months - I just like driving that car! What a Grand Tourer it is! AC, OD, heated rear window, cloth interior!

The things I've recently done:
* new gas tank, fuel sending unit & fuel pump;
* rebuilt the HIF-4 carbs w/new accelerator & choke cables;
* complete tune-up to include a new Petronix distributor;
* new clutch slave cylinder;
* new brake system (everything at the wheels)

Today, I finished up the brakes and fired her up for the first time since I started the above work (even though I still have to bleed the brakes)....she ran fine except I need to adjust my carb cables so she doesn't run full open & so the choke works smoothly...also, I've gotta find a fuel leak that's somewhere around the passenger rear corner of the engine (think its where the hard line hooks to the soft hose)....she only has 87,000 original miles on her & has never had an external fuel filter (outside the tank) so I've got to add that next.

All-in-all, a good Saturday...I'll get back to her in a few days....might even get her out of the garage over the next weekend or so....hehehe

Going to be very unusual if Tony has a LBC to drive.

hehehe...I've a few that venture out of the garage occassionally - I'm just adding more to the list!

Yep, I think a driver is in order for sure. You should not be seen in that big white truck all the time. You need a stealth mode.

meh. AS IF an LBC can be driven around in Gurley in any semblance of anonymity...

HEEheeHaaHAAAhohoooo... *cough*

actually, thanks to Tony, I've seen a bunch of them around Gurley

Oh wait, maybe he should drive the VW.

Jack, you know I'm not allowed in that VW - I was just the person to restore it, not drive it!

Actually, y'day I took the 380SL out for its last top down drive of the year & then set the hardtop on it...also took the '67 GT up to the 4-way & the General Store...you guys know we don't have red lights in Gurley don't'cha?

&, Jack, i have been seen in the little green truck on occassion!

Yep, guess you need a LBC that you can drive. LOL

HELLO, Jack - '67 GT is a 1967 MGB GT!! That's the one I drove Saturday...
