Factory Hardtop

Gordo

I bought a factory hardtop about 3 years ago and stashed it in the attic.

I'm in the process of obtaining all the bits and pieces to do an overhaul on it. One of the pieces, actually three, are causing me some difficulty.

I'm looking for the 3 "listing rails" that hold the headliner up. Page 465 of the TRF Green book, items 7, 8 and 9.

Anyone have any suggestions for obtaining or possibly duplicating the trio?

Tough to find, Gordo. We're in-process of trying to locate a quarterlight frame for an MGB factory HT. They've become hen's teeth. If we find a way to fab (read: find 'some guy' who's willing to DO this) in liew of OEM, I'll pass on the info.

Consider dispensing with the factory system and installing insulation and a fiber board liner. Then apply a sheet of quality vinyl such as used in furniture. Spray 3 M contact cement. Bit of cutting but better looking job will result. Mine has been on for two years and looks great.

Headliner? It's supposed to have a headliner?
