F1 Australia on NBC Sports Network

Somewhere along the line last week I saw an advertisement for the broadcast of the first race of the F1 season in Australia that would be on the NBC Sports Network, I had no idea that there was an NBC Sports Network, but more importantly did not know if I had the channel from my cable TV provider. Checked right away, yes, yes I do, whew! Anyhow, pre-race show on now, they still have David Hobbs, whew again! It is scheduled to start in 15 minutes at 1:00 AM live my time, and I have my carbonated caffeine by my side and can't wait to see Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, etc. go at it again. Anybody else up watching? P.S. Like the coverage on the new network so far.

It is actually the old Versus network. I watched the 1PM EDT replay as I was asleep during the live broadcast. I am very happy so far with NBSSports Network, and their lack of NASCAR.

Words cannot describe how much I HATE the sound of Leigh Diffey's voice AND his commentating. It's a shame they couldn't work it out with Bob Varsha. It's like replacing Babe Ruth with Zippy Wetpants from the local little league.

At least NBC is running fewer commercials than SPEED used to.

I am not a particular fan of F1 (anymore), although I did go to The Glen to see them race back in the 60 and 70s.

Just checked the latest re Malaysia - Kimi set fastest pace for the second practice session. Maybe you won't even have to take the banner down all season Doc! Well, a guy can dream on can't he???
