T-Series Extra TD Stuff

Great Pumpkin - R.I.P

As my TD project comes to an end, I'm making an inventory of all the extra pieces & parts I have; when its finished, I'm gonna have a sale on those items so I don't have to return them to Moss.

Some examples (& I don't know why I have extras - or why some of the quantities of the extra items):

...4each headlight rims 156-400
...a complete set of hood latches (2ea 406-855; 2ea 406-860)
...running board strip set 281-248
...front bumper backing bar 453-040
...gas tank end panel set 451-648
...original Lucas R/H side mirror 407-348
...pair Brooklands Racing Screens 224-100
...lots of rubber pieces
...small chrome bits
...nuts/bolts/fasteners

Remember, I replaced everything (down to all new nuts/bolts, etc.) & sometimes forgot what I had already ordered so I reordered. Now that the car is getting ready to come home, I need to get rid of this stuff or return it to Moss.

Let me know if you're interested in receiving a copy of my inventory.

And over the next few weeks, I'll also have lots of used parts for sale - after the new parts are taken care of.

WHEW!

Steve - that list'll be extensive:

2 front bumper bars
gas tank
wheels
hubcaps
wiper motor
heater (1 new in the box bought from Warshawsky)
plus......

I've been on your list since day one - need you even ask?

Are the part new or used? I ask because believe it or not I'd rather have used.

I was on the list first! :p Regardless, parts should go to those with an immediate need before going into someone's spares cabinet.

Edit: Why isn't there a raspberry smilie?

I'm gonna work the new parts first as I'll want to sell them or return them to Moss for credit to my account...the used parts will come later.

I'd only be looking for new parts that I'd need for brakes, suspension... The wear items that should be replaced on a car thats been sitting for almost 20 years.

The used parts will be the aesthetic parts. Chromed, painted, steel...whatever I have missing on the car or that has been damaged over time that does not need to be re-placed but can be replaced with an aged part.

My hopes for the car are to keep it original and re-place with as many original parts as possible before resorting to new.

So perhaps THIS is why Moss back orders half of the parts I order from them.
Approximately half of their inventory is in Tony's possession! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

hehehe...I've almost got the list of new parts completed...will try to send it to everyone who expressed interest when my laptop gets back from shop (list is on its hard drive).

And, apparently you're ordering through the wrong Moss person - if they try to BO me, I go to one of my alternate suppliers...rarely do I get an item backordered!

ooooh - goodies.

Do tell, via PM or here in the open. What are some good alternative vendors for TD's? Also, who did you use for your upholstery needs? Thanks!

I use Moss primarily for all my needs...however, as a distributor I know before I order whether anything is out of stock & for how long its out...my Moss guy then gives me the corresponding part number for my alternative suppliers so I can check with them to ensure I get the part right away - my final & last course of action if all my suppliers are out of stock is Moss UK

I'll send the list of my extra new TD parts via PM.

Awesome Tony. We can't wait.
