Extended driving season?

I'm getting e-mails from friends telling me that winter
is fast approaching and driving time soon be over for some.

Here's a little weekend project that might help extend
the driving season and open it a few weeks early as well.

Refurbish/soundsulate your doors insides for a warmer
winter ride and less noise in summer.

DPO Pedro stripped the entire heating/ventilation system
from my car when his fan motor blew up. So my car interior
is really hot on the black asphalt roads with not a breath
of air. This project insulated my car from the high temps
and greatly reduced the road noise and bucket of bolts
sounds. It might give you cold climate folks a few more
weeks of warm driving. (or simply make your windows crank
easier)

Just read your profile. So you are 103 years old and have no friends yet. In pictures you don't look a day over 80, and we are all your friends here at the BCF ! I am proud to be an Amatuer Tinster, and while the TR6 may be fighting you, just remember it's like breaking a wild stallion. Once done, it will always be your loyal friend. Go rent "The Horse Whisperer" with Robert Redford. Soon on youtube will be " The TR6 Whisperer" staring Tinster driving off into the Puerto Rican sunset on his trusted steed Amos.

OK DALE!!!!!
What is all this bull about being 103 and no friends. Holy smoke, I'm going to have to come down there and set you straight. And to make sure you understand, I'm bringing 3 (count 'em) 3 women to help me. Actually, they will kick your gas can. Oh, and by the way, in Canada we have a season (long) which we call winter, that requires dogs, sleds, toques (hats), and lots of stamina. We are not allowed to drive LBCs, only repair them. This means withdrawal, Rehab!!!, and a certain amount of self-discipline.
See you in October

Dale, that looks like a great project except it attracts too many killer iguanas.

I'm beatin' ya to it Dave!!!! Our plane leaves for San Juan on Sept. 30th!
Banjo and the wifey are headed to meet the fabled Tinster, his trusty companion, and Amos... the Phenox of PR.
Of course the leaves have barely even begun to change here, so skipping a week of winter, we're not. As a matter of fact, it's been beautiful here all week. nights around 55, days around 78-80. Ahhhhh.. I love this time of year.
Here comes the Beach! and the ocean, and the sun, and fruity rum drinks, and ....and.. and... a chance to meet new (but somehow old) friends!
Dale will have to update his profile.

When Ben and his significant other get there, you can show them all I saw. They'll surely enjoy that.
Ben
He's only kidding about the friends thing. He knows we are on his side. If you have one, take a picture of snow so he can see how the other half lives HA HA! Have a great time, and we'll try to get together after you get back
Dave
