Is it possible to have my original manifold ceramic coated or do I need to start with a new one. No holes yet but really pitted. I have SS exhaust system, will the exhaust manifold sold by Denis Welsh work with that system? no on seems to carry replacement manifolds in the catalogs. 1967 BJ8

Goldie, you can also try sandblasting them down to clean iron and then painting them with a high temp paint. It holds up better than you might think.

Does anyone know if the exhaust manifolds that are sold by Welch will fit the standard SS exhaust system if it comes to that. I have been watching ebay for a while to try and pick up decent manifolds but so far haven't seen any.

As the wise Keoke says, yes. I've Jet Hot coated both the original manifolds and the Denis Welsh headers.

Are you talking about the cast iron manifolds? The wall thickness is much more substantial compared to headers. I'd be surprised if they rusted through.

Unless something has changed, the DW headers have 2" collectors, which would be larger than a stock exhaust diameter. I'd email DW and ask what kind of reducer they'd recommend if you wanted to go that way.
