Exhaust manifold finish

I'm pulling rusted BE exhaust manifold and having it ceramic coated. What's the consensus on color? Silver (looks like chrome)? Engine bay is white, engine is standard AH green.
.........

Also having exhaust manifold refinished.....powder coated.
Same question, should the color be silver?

Car itself is English white with red interior.

I welcome your opinions.

thanks,

dave in st. louis

Was never finished with anything from the factory. So a clear something would be appropiate to be like orginal.

So, you mean the heat shield had no color...it was clear? As in translucent?

Or, do you mean it was black, so finish it with clear over the black. What color metal is "clear"?

What Jack means is that it was just naked metal - no coatings or paint...I cleaned mine & had it ceramic coated in a natural color:

Tony:

That engine bay has far more ambience than most of the better restaurants I've been to.

Envious in the heartland.

Agree.

But he painted the heatshield. I think it should have been plated.

hehehehe...unfortunately, it was painted engine color at the factory....so, anything else is incorrect.

OK, now that we're talking about Tony's 63, you got that bad boy up and going yet, how about a update?

Hap, he may never get it up and running. It might get a bit of dust on it.

No - no dust...its covered up until the contractors get finished with the upstairs garage studio apartment & I can get my downstairs organized again.....just spent a couple of hours getting all my tools back where they're supposed to be & sweeping all the sawdust up plus hauling off all the cardboard boxes for the garbage guy tomorrow.

Wait just a min here, did I miss something. Finishing the studio Apt. Great, now I have a place to stay in Gurney. Hehe.
