This was discussed here or on another forum a couple of years ago. There were a few companies who made unusual tops for these cars. Just like this:

I want a hardtop so bad I would take it in a flash. I wish it were around Louisiana. Seems you guys in the north have all the hardtops; nice ones and ugly ones. I wonder what it would be like with the trunk lid removed and no inertia baffle.

I think it's kinda cool. But it sure makes the back end look like a GT6.
How do you get to the fuel filler with that thing on???
And woulden't that put the vented fuel cap inside the passenger area? hmmmmmmm... not good.

I think it's kinda cool. I regret selling my period-original Parish-Plastics hardtop a few years back *sniff*

Uck! that is what happens when cousins marry. You get a TRGT64

It has NEVER been installed on a car making this probably the only unused hardtop in this style anywhere in the world

No big surprise that it has never been used!

TR4 Dove....

For several years, I stored a never-used one of these in my barn for a friend. He's now had it in his possession for a couple of years, and I rather doubt he's made use of it yet.

Personally, I find the Dové GTR4 shape slightly more attractive, but these are still interesting period accessories. If nothing else, they'll start far more bar conversations than will the average TR4. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

Mad Max...bust out the rear window and mount an M60. The spit looks like it could run at Sebring..neat.

Hi Folks;

I agree with the Majority: It sure does look like a Spitfire (Almost):

Thats a Great Point relative to the Gas Filler; Sounds kind of Dangerous to me and where do the Fumes go?

Looks like the Seller had a Ton of Green Paint left over from Painting his Garage Door & Used it on the TR4 or whatever It may be called??

See Ya All @ Hellertown;

Regards, Russ

This came across the 6-pack mailing list about a week ago. MY first thought was, like Ray, that it was similar to the TR4 Dove but that one definitely looks like it has a little GT6 added to its genes. The TR4 Dove, like Ray posted a photo too, looks much better IMHO.
