European variants of Ford trucks?

I recently bought 1996 Ford F-150. I'm pretty happy with it. I recently came across some photos of what appears to be mid '90s F-150s with European license plates on them and most importantly, glass sealed beam headlights. I'd never heard a Ford trucks having glass headlights after 1993. I'm aware that Ford trucks sold in Australia had glass headlights but only up until 1992. In 93 the body style changed. I know this look doesn't appeal to everyone but I would really love to have headlights like this on my truck. With that in mind, I have a couple questions.

1. Can someone help me identify what country these license plates are from?
2. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find headlight assemblies like this. Even an original part number would be immense help even though I'm sure they're not available new anymore.
3. Does someone know why these headlights even exist considering that almost every other country was using more customized plastic headlights at this point?
