Estes, CO. Antigue car show

Wendy just called in from Colorado and reported she
attended the Estes Park antique car show this morning
with the son of her hosts- Chris a past TR6 owner.

Wendy reports the show was fantastic and she and Chris
had a great time. They looked for Shawn and his TR but did
not come across him. Wendy liked the Stanley Steamer
the best. One of my favorite cars as well.

I didn't post this in the Pub 'cause most of those folks
there don't know Wendy or Shawn.

My fishing trip today was also a total success. Eleven
hook-up with tarpons in the morning with most in the
40 to 50 pound class. Fantastic fun on 10 pound line
and light spinning gear. All fish released alive and well.
Two barracudas also caught and released.

I hope everyone has a grand 4th of July. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

I wish I had known Wendy was in town, she could have come by for a visit. I live in Loveland, at the bottom of the hill. Estes is at the top of the hill. I was in EP, but not for the car show. Left the Riley at home and just went and enjoyed some cool mountain air.

Unrelated (except in my mind)... we usually spend a week or two each year in Rocky Mtn Natl Park and I recall during a two-week visit sometime in the late 70s or early 80s they were building new restrooms at one of the overlooks (Rock Window/Tundra Trail I think). One of the workers was there each day having driven his silver TR3A up Trail Ridge Road.

This was when I hadn't had a TR3 for several years... I credit that guy for getting me thinking about getting another one. Finally found one on 7/12/82. 25 years later I still enjoy it every day.
