Hello everyone,

Just found the site and thought I would join in with you guys.

Paul.

Paul, Welcome! Give these fellows a little time, most of them aren't even out of bed yet! I'm just one of the early birds. :jester: PJ

Welcome, Paul!

Howdy Paul,

"WELCOME" to the "BCF".

What the heck is a "MGZT"? Is that like an "MGB-GT"? Post a pic here, Why don`t you.

Regards, Russ

PS: Hey Paul; I just saw your pics in the "Members Picture" area. I did`nt know that "MG" was making those kind of cars!

Hi Steve,

I'm not too far from Wolverhampton I actually work in Stafford so even closer.

I love the ZT I have owned her for the past 6 years. Probably look at buying a new MG6 next year when they arrive in the UK from China.

Pity they are not made in England, unfortunately we don't have a car industry any more.

Nice talking to you my friend.

Regards,

Paul.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the welcome. Where are you from originally?

Regards,

Paul

Hello there,

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately we don't have a car industry in Britain any more so you could say that the MG ZT is the last of the British sports saloons. Production ceased in 2005/6.

Mine is a 2002 model with a 2.5ltr V6 engine producing 190 bhp. This is quite a high powered engine for a British car. They also made a limited amount of V8's using a Mustang engine.

nice talking to you my friend.

Regards,

Paul.

Hi there,

There is some very limited production at the Longbridge plant but nothing major. Mainly on the MGF sports car which is coming to the end of its production life after 15 years.

I'm scheduled to go on a tour of the factory site in April 2011 with other members of the 3 Counties MG Club.

I will post some photographs of the event.

Paul

Paul, How far are you from Eccleshaw or Staffordshire? My daughter-in-law came from there, in fact, we all, the whole family, went over there for the wedding in the family church in Eccleshaw. PJ

Paul, it's Eccleshall..... That town was VERY close to my home town. He lives in Staffordshire, (as did I, technically) Stoke is a city in that county.

Ah, Thanks Steve, don't know why, but I always spelled it wrong. What a great time we had while there. We were treated like royalty, gosh I love those people! Would love to return and motor tour the English country side. Someday, hopefully. PJ

I secretly (not any longer though, I guess!) enjoy all the connections made possible by this forum, the common interest in cars and the 'net.

Planet's gettin' smaller by th' day, innit?
