Over the last week it has be 90 degrees here. I have noticed when the engine gets wormed up (5 miles) and you stop at a light and go again the engine wants to splutter and surge. I have checked and put heavier oil in the dash pots and vacuum looks like it is working as it should. Any ideas for me?

Drove the car yesterday when it was 75 and it ran great. It must be the gas getting over heated?

I cut some small pieces of the bubble insulation with foil on both sides and placed it around the float chambers held in place with wire ties. I don't know if it really helped (except in my mind) but I've not had your problem since.
