Hi Ihave a 72 mini moke have just rebuilt the motor. But now I seem to have a shudder in reverse. It is a new clutch kit and reco gearbox. Any ideas Regards John
Check to see that the rubber engine mounts and the trans mount are new (and fully tightened).
Some Minis have a "dogbone" attached to the head that acts as and additional "steady" for the engine. If you're has one, see if it's loose or worn.
A loose front subframe or suspension part might also cause this.
