TR4/4A Engine reinstallation help

My body shop decided to fit the body on the frame before reinstalling the engine and gearbox which is currently mated. The manual seems to indicate (pages 101 etc) that it should be installed in one piece. My inclination is to install the engine from the front and the transmission from inside.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Al, I find it much easier to install as one unit. A good engine tilting mechanism will be required. I use the Oberg tilt lift on my engine hoist.

My 2 cents.

Cheers

OK. Tues morning will tell the tale. OK Done. The biggest problem was the front motor mounts. The trick was to get one side on loosely and then set the other mount at an angle so the holes line up with the mount studs, then drop the motor down.
While I was at the body shop struggling with the mounts I discovered a different problem. To help see my next post labeled "Metal facia trashed"
