I made a temporary rolling engine stand by removing the engine from the Hap's pallet with the brackets he made still installed. I just dropped it onto one of my car dollies for now. Eventually I'll cut down the metal and mount them to a furniture dolly for a nice rolling storage stand for the old 948. For now, though, the new motor is happily stored under a towel in the back of the garage. I can easily get to it to turn it over once in a while, but it's not in danger of being knocked into.

Pretty - Pretty - Pretty!!

I think it is a darn shame that nice engine is going to waste.

Going to waste?!? It just needs a home worthy of its potential. I'm working on it, Jack, I'm working on it.

I was just thinking about you this morning Drew, hadn't seen a post since you got your new toy.
Good luck.
Next spring?

April's the target, Baz. Gives me six months to get all the new bits installed and worked out. Then I can drive and finish the sorting out all summer. I'm doing my best to keep that a hard and fast timeline.

Drew it looks well protected there in it's winter home, just patiently waiting for it's turn to purr. Now I got to get to work on your carbs.
