Engine Date of Manufacture

I have acquired a 1275 A/H motor that I am going to rebuild and put in my 1965 MG Midget.
I would like to know the year of manufacture so that I can date the SU carbs for ordering build kits.
The engine plate number is: 12C /D a/H 21663, the tag of the carburetor is AUD 404.
