Spitfire Engine Back Plate

The deeper I dig, the more I find! Today I just realized that the former owner of my 1980 Spitfire has taken almost all the bolts out of the engine back plate, bless his heart. Finding replacement bolts is no big deal. So here's my question: Aside from putting those bolts and spring washers back, is there anything else I need to be aware of? There doesn't appear to be a gasket or anything else holding fluids in. I just want to be sure. Thanks!
