Started in 1945 and supposedly used until 1955. Amazing how these type of computers led the way to what we can carry in our pocket and on our wrist today! Science and Technology never ceases to amaze me! :encouragement:

Paul - great memories of the 1940s! Eniac was one of the earliest fully-electronic number crunchers.

An electro-mechanical predecessor:

Hard to believe all of that can be put into something like this! I love old things, but modern science fascinates me! :encouragement:

Hard to believe today's lower end tech is not only more powerful, but given away as attendance or door prizes and thrown away because it is easier to replace than change batteries...
