So, I got to spend a LOT of time cleaning the emergancy brake cable and back (axle) bracket. For the first time I was truly happy to have a rubber bumper rather than a bugeye. If that was 30 only years of oil/dirt, I'd hate to have to clean 40 or 50 years worth /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
But, I did have lots of time to think and now I have questions
1. What is the nut on the front of the cable sleeve for?
2. There is a grease nipple midway down the cable - I don't think I could even access this in situ. How do you get at it?
3. Assuming I could access it, is grease still the way to lube it or has technology improved in 30 years?
TIA
