My son spends his summer in northern Brisith Columbia planting trees. (quite remarkable actually averages about 2500 trees per day) Anyway, planting season is over so he and some friends are heading to the Okanagan Valley to pick cherries. This boy is 24, doesn't have his drivers license, has never shown any particular interest in anything car related.

and now this (serves him right and it's about time)

we're in quesnel today after a week of interesting automotive adventures. there are two vans between the 4 of us and they are now finally all together and in working order. we had busted radiators, windshields, melted bearings, missing tires, everything you could ever hope for if you are into fixer uppers. a couple days ago we found a beater westfalia and were able to strip it for parts and make a super-frankenstein van that is ready to take us to the okanagan.

One of those "rust-free" Canadian vehicles?
These are the kind of messages that worry their Mothers.
