Elva Courier engine number--assistance

I recently purchased a 1958 Elva Courier, SN#100-15-L, making it the 15th production car and therefore a Courier Mark I.

Assumedly it was supplied with a 1489 cc. MGA Mk I engine but not being too familiar with MG engine nomenclature I would appreciate anyone's assistance in verifying this fact from the following engine number on the Builder's Plate: 1H.358.AG.SER.

A picture of the Elva can be found in the photo attachment.

Yippi-Yippi Ye-ha....Another Elva guy to talk to. (BTW I know that car...Great deal!)

Got your Elva info here! (Anyting you want)

POSITIVE yours was a 1489 (1500) engine.

Nice because they are easy to find.

I believe Bob put a 1622 in it. (if you want a 1500 I've got one)

Dave--

I sent you an email offlist.

Best--Michael

Great looking ride, Michael. Hope we will get a view at the spring picnic (???)

Dale--

The Spring picnic at Little Cove Farm will (hopefully) not happen this year--looks like we have a buyer for the farm and if so I am afraid that the closing will be right around the Drive Your British Car Week weekend.

I'll post more to the Austin-Healey forum if the event does in fact come to pass but I am hopeful that it will not. Save your old BCW tee-shirts as they may become collector's items!

Yep, "she goes"

Bill Shaw has become the man to beat in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

Here is a picture of him in action w/ his 59 Courier.
