Electronic Ignition

A few months back in the MG forum there was a discussion of electronic ignition ( https://www.britishcarforum.com/ubbthread...true#Post133976 )and Doug L. mentioned the 123 distributor from TDC Performance ( https://tdcperformance.ca/ ). Has anyone used one of these in an A series and how do they hold up? Any info would be great.

I think they are very expensive, but it depends on your needs. Have you considered a cranktriggered electronic ignition that is fully mappable? Megajolt lite Jr, using a ford EDIS. Toby A. did https://www.taratec.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=52&AlbumID=412-19

Probably can be done for less than the cost of the TDC uit.

Mini Mania and Seven Enterprises are both selling this dizzy in the U.S.

Anything that fits a Mini (pre- A+ engines) will fit MGBs and Spridgets (excluding the 1500).

I believe both Seven and Mini Mania are selling the 123 Dizzy for $359.

Thanks! I'm going to pick up a new (to me) race car chassis today. Those will work nice on the engine when I get it done.
