Ran across this site this afternoon while looking for something else. TR3 converted to electric power. I had not seen this before. Anyone know anything more about this car? A little sad this it was such an early car that was used, but it seems to be done quite well. Apologies if previously posted.

Maybe the project started when gas was $5 a gallon.

Yes, looked like a pretty nice example to subject to such a conversion.
 
That looks just like my TR3 from back in the day. 1956. Could it possibly be the same? What are the numbers? Stranger things have happened - like my Twin-Cam MG in Australia.

Much of the charm of the TR3 is the sound of the engine...obviously missing when the car doesn't have one. Otherwise, I think it's a pretty ambitious project.
