electric fan and confession

I figured out how my temp control works on an electric fan I pulled off a car. So I put it in. Test drive, things seem fine but it got past 190, odd. Then 200, not cool (pun intended). Back home I discover the bone head mechnanic, after pulling the fan, forgot to put the bolts back in, yes Virginia they hold the pulley on the water pump....duh.
Lucky for me the pulley was just sitting there, glaring at me.
Also explains why my volt meter was in the negative.
Should be okay now, unless aforementioned bonehead mechanic forgot some other essential item.
Hope this is worth the effort. A few cheap ponies (free as I had all the parts already).

Now, I have to get the belt tension just right again.
