EFI Healey project Latest

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Steve,

You continue to astound us with your wide ranging designs and wider ranging abilities. What stellar work on a stunning car.

I hope to see it "in person" when we are up there again, probably in the fall. Last time, when we were on the way to Bonneville, you were in NoCal.

Keep it up and keep us posted.

Tim

Steve,

Looks great and the modifications are really done well! Thanks for posting this and pointing us to it when you make updates.

Michael.

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Rick, what a great idea...taking pic in SF at the old Bullitt location!!

Tim, you're welcome at my shop anytime.

Michael, thanks for the encouragement.

I don't want to commit yet, but I'm hoping to make either the Rendezvous or the Conclave this year with a finished car.

Thanks to all,
Steve

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Steve you're out of control.
I'm impressed on many levels and your layout of parts; well, I like your style.
1st photo: Steve's parts, in the garage, where they should be.
2nd photo: Roger's parts laid out in the house where they shouldn't be..Jealous?
Jealous...only of Steve's large garage and lift. Some guys have all the luck.

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Roger, if you are married, you have an amazingly understanding wife!! My wife is extremely supportive of my Austin Healey obsession....but I'm not sure I could get away with staging the parts in the living room :nonono: .

Rick, I've never seen these! Very cool. The location of the Bullitt/Healey picture was near the corner of Clay and Taylor....I didn't know that! I showed my wife and she agrees it would be really fun to get some pictures of it in the same location!....hhmmm a new goal! my Healey with Steve McQueen in Bullitt

Cheers,
Steve

I hope you plan to drive it to SF and park it in its Bullitt parking spot when it's done.
Which one? You see a Healey about six times during that movie. A white one is parked by his house near the beginning of the film. You see the white one parked maybe three times during the chase. I think there was a green one towards the end when Steve spins out in the dirt (that one was driving).

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Once again Steve, nice work. On the license plate bracket, did you sandwich a sheet of rubber between the shroud and bracket?

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Rick's correct....mine is the one he pulls along side at his apartment.

GregW, yes, I did put a piece of rubber packing between the bracket and the shroud....good catch!

Cheers,
Steve

Re: EFI Healey project up-date

Steve,

I think you will make your deadline! The car is looking great. I like Rick's idea about the SF photo op.

Roger,
Where is the grease?

Hi Steve,
With your attention to details, I figured you had. But after all the work you'd done on the paint, I had to make sure.
