If it keeps SAAB from disappearin' it's all good. Bernie's money is as good as anyone's for that purpose.

Well, hopefully, GM won't continue holding out for an outrageous offer!

If they're clever about it they'd DUMP it just for the paper loss, I would think.

They wouldn't before...they refused the last offer because they felt it was too low!

What th' heck do THEY care?!?! Uncle is throwin' money at 'em so fast it seems uncountable.

*sheesh*

Hey, they think they have to make money all of a sudden!

That's not what I read.

What I read was that G.M. officials said that Spyker’s reliance on Russian financing for the Saab deal was a major factor in its decision to walk away. Basically, they didn't want to sell to the Russian mafia.
I live in New Jersey. Believe me; dealing with the mafia (no matter what their nationality) is never going to be a good idea.

The previous Koenigsegg deal fell apart partly because that funding was coming (partly) from a Russian telecom magnate also connected to the Russian mafia.

I guess, at least Bernie is "clean" by comparison.

I like SAABs (even new ones). I hope it works out.
