That is one fine looking P.O.S.

A real TR7 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's in Jersey and includes pieces from an IROC. 'Nuff said...

Bitchen' Camaro!

[/ QUOTE ] But it's not a Camaro. The hood is the only Camaro body piece. It's a short-wheelbase Mustang--Mustang front, rear, and fenders (Capris of that vintage were just rebadged Mustangs).

But I agree with the others--why? A TR7 was a cheap place to start? Sort of like putting $30K into an aftermarket stereo/video system for a $5K Honda Civic. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

It's really nice... really... nice...

I like the stock TR7 myself... wish I still had mine.

Yeah, then I could put a mustang front, capris rear... yeah, now we're talking!!

'73 TR6 - slowly coming together!

I have to laugh, it reminds me of the Johnny Cash song about the guy who build a car from pieces slipped off the assembly line. So its a 70,71,72,73,74,75 one of a kind automobile, a 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, Tri-Capr-Tang

It says it turns heads....but which direction??? That thing needs to be taken out to a quiet corner of the back 40, and mercifully put down!

Too bad he's modified the front edge of that hood....I could use that! An Iroc hood in nice condition would be worth the starting bid.

The real shame of it is that the level of the work seems to be pretty good. Unfortunately the builders judgement appears to be somewhat deficient. When building a car like that one should NEVER plan on trying to sell it.

Did anyone notice that the header pipes and the side pipes are fake?

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifOh My!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

WHY?!?!?!?!?
A convertable mustang of that vintage could be had for dirt.
Why would you hack up a TR7 to make it look like a cheap car? Or at least a BAD nightmare of a cheap car.
If I was gonna put that much time into a custom it would at least look like an exotic or something.
I also like how it's listed as a 1980, then in the discription it magically becomes a "one of a kind 1970 TR7"
Indeed! even unmodified a 1970 TR7 would be one of a kind.

There's a TR7 in there somewhere???? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah Rich. Who knows, it may have started life as a TR7 Spider! LOL

I'm having a hard time identifying anything in the pictures as actually having come from a TR7... maybe the soft top???

The strut towers look vaguely familiar, but with what looks like some kind of camber adjuster on them.

Wonder what you'd answer when you walked into you neighborhood auto parts store and they ask you make, model and year? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Well GUESS WHAT? It's got a little brother...also on eBay! Check out item no. 4603087127: "...mini convertable, rear end triumph herald front end ford escort.built in 1991 by a accident repair company to show of their skills...." (verbatim, from the auction description).

The two cars must be related...they're both the same color! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Uggh.

I guess this is proof that just slightly less than 50% of people are of below-average intelligence.
