Any one know much about this top particular top on ebay:

hard top

Has it been posted before?

If anyone has some comments please let me know (feel free to pm me)

I'm thinking of going for it, since I dont live too far away from the location and can pick it up myself.

Thanks

Yes, I remember the pictures (the marks on the front end are very familiar). I thought that it sold for about $850 around three weeks ago.

I checked the sellers feedback back a couple of months to see if he had just puchased this hard top, and he did not. So I gather that he either had it listed under a different id or was unable to sell it when you guys saw it a couple of weeks ago.

How much do you think one of these is worth?

I'm tempted to wait and see if he just relists it again at a lower price. We are in negotiations to sell our house (only got the offer after posting this thread) so I may not have the $$ to pick it up right now.

NADA says it adds $1800 to the value of your TR6. $499 looks like armed robbery. (if it goes for that little) Who knows? To me, they're priceless. I was not going to buy a TR6 without one.

They seem to hit $1000 + or- based on condition, you better not let this get away if you are close.

Looks to be in very good shape. They make a big difference in stiffening the car and adds to comfort level. IMO they are a must if you drive in inclement weather.

I bought one in Missouri, and haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. It's Pimento red, and my car is Carmine. So, I asked the shop to paint it for me. Now, my guy at the shop thinks that hard tops are a nuisance, and is convinced I'll want to get rid of it at some point. So, he is suggesting that I paint it black so that it would go with any color and would be easier to sell. If anybody has done this, would you post a picture? Thanks.

P.S. I don't think I agree with the shop on this one.

Ditto. In the year that I have been driving the TR4 (about 2.5K miles), the soft top has only been up once (during a thunderstorm).
