Ebay Frustration

A guy contacted recently about some MG parts he had for sale. Being a sucker for MG parts I went to look. As soon as I get to his place he starts telling me about how he looked up these parts on ebay and how valuable they are. I thanked him for his time and left. In my part of the world ebay has ruined the chance of ever getting a deal anymore.

Regards John

It seems to me that e-bay has gone from being a great "garage sale" to too many people's main source of income. We have always cleaned out our garage and just thrown the parts on e-bay with no reserve, hoping they go for a little bit. It has been a great way to supplement our LBC habit, but the last couple of rounds have not been enjoyable and I'm not sure its worth the headache. Not to mention the posting fees, shipping costs, and now paypal fees that seem to go up,up,up....I think we are going to just save our parts for the Lake Corvalis swap meet in April, more fun and less headache.
