Ebay 6

Be careful if you dig!

WARNING!

If you look at the second question asked in the ad, someone asks if this is the same car that appears in another eBay ad, and gives the URL for it. If you cut and paste the URL and change the "hxxp:" to "https:" to make it work, you get a bogus eBay site that is trying to steal your password. It asks you to sign in with your username and password, but it is NOT eBAY.

Always watch for numbers before the ebay.com portion of the address, which in this case is 218.248.244.5 - someone's personal site.

I wonder if it's the seller or the question asker who is running this scam.

He also has a bunch of Western Union graphics on his site. Another scam he's using to ripoff others.

What a crook.

What a jerk.

Be carefull out there!!!
This one, if a scam is better than the last few. A phone number to call, no flashing screen to another site etc. Could be this guy is an honest seller and his site is corrupted? I tried the cut and paste and did not get the site you described, but somehow these listings get taken over and people do not know it. How do they do it?

My guess is an honest seller with an evil person asking the question, but I can't be sure.

I also think the second questioner is the crook. Who cares what is name is? I've seen this in many other listings, usually for motorcycles.

I was just surprised that there were lbc's "up for grabs" legit or otherwise. My guess is that if you have a good car you also know another lbc'er that wants it and you wouldn't have to go to e bay to "get your price"

I had a look see at the "Wilson Motor Company" site after looking at e bay, they seem to have some very nice cars

There is a 1971 TR6 project car in the Albuquerque cragislist. No rust. Posted on 2/28.

check the auto parts section.
