I have had an add running on here trying to get some info and help, I have decided to sell my project, Here is what I know, It is a very early bug eye, Vin is 1409. Body has the usual rust spots, doors are solid, some dings and dents in body,Someone cut the body behind the seat to help gain access, but i have another piece cut from a later sprite to help finish the area up right. It is very complete, missing tail lights, grill and top. Pretty much every thing else is there and needs to be gone through.
I have a complete extra dash, extra engine, and complete frt supsension, steering and front cradle. The car has wire wheels with knock offs, and I have an extra 4 wires.
I feel that the completeness and the low vin number on this car make it a good resto canidate, I think it should be restored and back on the road, If i cant sell it I will look into parting it out. $1800 obo, cash or possible trade for old vws or ? More photos to come. thanks JEFF
