TR2/3/3A Early Switches

I've got a couple questions concerning dash switches.

First, from what I understand, the TR2 did not have the separate running/headlight switch. Did it just use the exact same switch for the lights as for the wipers?

Then, is the overdrive switch the exact same switch as the lights and wipers?

All the switches were exactly the same when they came out, only with different knobs...just trying to learn if that is correct.

What makes you think that? AFAIK, the TR2 headlight setup was exactly the same as the TR3. There was a Lucas part number change for the later headlight switch, but S-T did not change their part number and the Lucas catalog implies that they are interchangeable.
Later, during the TR3A, the switch for the panel lights was changed to a rheostat (and a different location), but the headlight switch remained the same until the end of TR3x production.

The early OD switch appears to have been the same as the wiper switch, even though S-T assigned a different part number.

Excellent...thanks again, Randall. I mis-interpreted the wording on the VTR website for the light switch. It meant one brightness, instead of one position.
