TR2/3/3A Early Rear Brake Cylinders

On to the rear brakes. The early TR2 rear brakes were Lockheed 9" drums up to TS5442. These Lockheed cylinders are NLA, but TRF crosses them over to the cylinders used on the 10" rear drums that were used in the late TR2 and early TR3's.

Before I ordered, I wondered if anyone knows what the difference is between the early and late Lockheed cylinders? Are the newer style a direct replacement?

Looking at the SPC, I think the only difference is the handbrake lever, which is included in the 201643 and 202559 "assemblies". The cylinder itself (and piston, seal, etc) appears to be identical for both 9 and 10" versions.

I'm guessing that, for ultimate authenticity, you could even put it together with your old handbrake levers.

Thanks Randall. I didn't think to look at the individual parts that make up the cylinder assemblies. Newer cylinders with old arms it'll be!
