MGB Early MGB engine compatible with later transmission

I'm new to MG's so please bare with me on this. I have a freshly rebuilt 4 synchro O/D side fill transmission with the closed bellhousing for the starter (no hole). I need to purchase an engine and found a 1965 5 bearing engine 18GB UH 5875 locally. This engine uses the starter that has the drive assembly that sticks out of the transmission tunnel. Will this engine be compatible with the O/D transmission that I have if I use one of the high torque starters and are there other complications that I need to worry about? Any concerns with the flywheel and ring gear, transmission input shaft and pilot bushing, bell housing mating up to the rear engine plate. Any help is greatly appreciated.

To put the earlier GB series engine up to a full syncro trans the flywheel backplate and starter need to be the later style from 68 and newer. The pilot bush is the same .
